Silent Reading Day!! Today students silent read and filled out a page in their Meta-Cognition Journals. These journals will be due at the end of the quarter.

Today we continuing reading the novel, Fever 1793. We read pages 24-33. We then completed the assignment, "Fever 1793: Active Readers Worksheet Chapters 1-5." Students also completed the quiz, "Fever 1793: Chapter 1-5 Quiz." Both of these were due at the end of class.

Today our class started two assignments associated with the novel, Fever 1793. The first assignment was "Fever 1793: Character Chart." The second assignment was "Fever 1793: Prediction Chart." Both of these assignments will be due when we finish reading the novel.

Tuesday, November 11
Today our school went to Hillcrest High School to see their production of Seussical The Musical. Because of this, only 1st, 5th, and 6th periods attending class today. Those classes discussed Dr. Seuss and the impact his writing has had on our society. They also read a short biography and completed the assignment, "Dr. Seuss Biography." This assignment was due at the end of class.

Today our class began reading the novel, Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. This novel is historic fiction that takes place during Philadelphia's Yellow Fever Epidemic of 1793. We read pages 1-17.
Students were also assigned a homework assignment. Students are to complete the "American Plague Assignment". It is due on Friday, November 14, 2008.
