In the beginning, Hillari Kimble is the only person who openly dislikes Stargirl, but then others begin to feel the same way as Hillari. Do you think that groups of people need a leader, like Hillari Kimble, to turn opinions against another person?

I do think people need a leader to turn opinions against another person. That leader usually incites fear, anger, or blame. That fear or anger then targeted at a person or group of people. Hillari incites fear, anger, and blame and then directs it toward Stargirl. This has happened throughout history in matters of war and genocide. These acts of war and genocide occur because a leader has incited fear, anger, or blame and targeted another nation or group of people.
